I've had so many lives, in what some call your only one.
Started over so many times, you'd think by now,
fate would have won
I think of all the changes that I've been through
all these many years
I still remember all the laughter
and I still feel all the tears
But I keep dodging it, left and right
feeling in my heart, now I've got it right
Fate can't catch me
It's direction is too poor
so now I'm gonna live,
and soon I'm gonna soar
I found myself reflecting on
"if I only knew this then"
but if I concentrate on my yesterdays
then I'll miss what's round that bend
I've learned mistakes can happen
and wonderful wishes too
and I must keep some of it in my past
from this is where I grew
